本学期即将进入尾声，回顾一学期的外教管理工作，点点滴滴，历历在目。昆城外国语学校汇集了来自英美澳加新等国家为主的21名外籍教师，语言、文化、爱好、特长等各不相同。外教从最初了解环境、慢慢的在教学、管理、招生、比赛和演出等各个方面都积极参与和努力付出，无时无处不体现了作为主人翁的责任感。外教为中西文化的交流和先进教学理念的传播提供了更多机会，创造了良好的语言学习环境，营造了国际化的学习氛围。我们为拥有这样的一家人倍感欣慰！

This semester is coming to an end. Looking back on the management work of foreign teachers in the semester, everything is still vivid in the mind. There’re 21 foreign teachers mainly from the UK, the United States, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, joining Kuncheng Foreign language school with different languages, cultures, hobbies and specialties. Foreign teachers from the initial understanding of the environment, slowly integrated into teaching, management, enrollment, competition and performance and other aspects of active participation and hard work, which reflect the sense of responsibility and ownership of every teacher. Foreign teachers provide more opportunities for the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures and the spread of advanced teaching methodologies, create a good language learning environment and an international learning atmosphere. We are gratified to have such a family!

来自不同国度的外教首先要克服生活中的种种困难和障碍：语言沟通，饮食习惯等。在教学方面没有任何懈怠，课前积极备课，课堂上用丰富的肢体语言和幽默风趣的教学方式感染学生。讲讲本国的风土人情，文化历史，让每一个学生对神奇的异国风情充满好奇，外教课倍受学生喜爱。对学校的跨文化交流起了良好的桥梁和纽带作用。

Foreign teachers from different countries should first overcome all kinds of difficulties and obstacles in life: the inconvenience of communication when buying things, the unaccustomed diet, etc. However, there is no slack in teaching. Before class, they actively prepare lessons. In class, they use rich body language and humorous teaching methods to attract students. Sometimes they talk about the local customs, culture and history of their country, which makes every student curious about the magical exotic customs. Foreign teachers are very popular with students. It has played a good role as a bridge and link for the school's cross-cultural communication.

9月21日，苏州之行是本学期开学初学校组织的第一次外教团建活动，走进姑苏，品姑苏文化，融入中国生活。

The trip to Suzhou on September 21 is the first foreign teachers' team building activity organized by the school at the beginning of this semester. Entering Suzhou and tasting it’s ancient culture make all teachers integrate into Chinese life easily.

学校每周的外教中文课更是良计之一，从根源解决外教沟通障碍。汉语学习使外教更好地融入昆外大家庭，同时体验汉语的独特魅力。快乐学习，快乐工作，快乐生活！

The school's weekly Chinese class for foreign teachers is one of the good strategies to solve the communication obstacles of foreign teachers from the root. Chinese learning enables foreign teachers to better integrate into the school as a big family and experience the unique charm of Chinese. Happy study, happy work, happy life!

本学期，开展一系列的符合国际交往需要并且与精神文明建设密切相关的活动。组织动员外籍教师参加集团运动会活动等。不仅丰富了外籍教师业余文化生活，而且也使他们更加真实地了解中国，增强了对学校的认知以及感情，在舒心工作同时，也与昆外家人之间建立了深厚的情谊，融入昆外大家庭，树立学校良好的对外形象，推进国际交流与合作事业的不断发展具有重要的作用。

This semester, we’ve carried out a series of activities that meet the needs of international exchanges and are closely related to the construction of spiritual civilization. Organizing and mobilizing foreign teachers to participate in the Education group’s sports games. It not only enriches the amateur cultural life of foreign teachers, but also makes them understand more about China, enhances their cognition and feelings towards the school. At the same time, it also establishes a deep friendship with Chinese teachers and integrates into the family of Kuncheng Foreign Language School as a big family, sets up a good external image of the school, and promotes the continuous development of international exchange and cooperation.

每逢重大节日，校领导积极为外籍教师筹划举办节日宴会等活动，并与外籍教师亲切交谈，了解其工作、生活情况，教师倍感温暖和关怀，有效地激发了外籍教师的工作热情和主动性。

In every major festival, the school leaders actively plan and hold Festival banquet and other activities for foreign teachers, and have a cordial conversation with foreign teachers to understand their work and life conditions. The teachers feel warm and caring, effectively stimulating the enthusiasm and initiative of foreign teachers.

外籍教师在国际化学校的作用日渐突出，不仅引进了西方教学理念和教学模式，而且营造了良好的外语学习氛围，激发了学生学习外语的兴趣，学生受到纯正外语的熏陶，提高了学生的交际水平和听说能力，促进了外语教学改革的深化和教学水平的提高，丰富了中外文化艺术之间的交流。我们的外教更是在不同活动中感受中国文化，融入昆外大家庭。

Foreign teachers play a more and more important role in international schools. They not only introduce western teaching concepts and teaching models, but also create a good atmosphere for foreign language learning, stimulate students' interest in learning foreign languages. Students are influenced by pure foreign languages, improve students' communication level and listening and speaking ability, promote the deepening reform of foreign language teaching and the improvement of teaching level.
